We have the privilege of living on a Wonderful 125-Acre Nanoose Bay Ranch with a Panoramic View of Mount Arrowsmith and Mount Moriarity; which we enjoy sharing with other Horse-Lovers! Located 15 minutes from North Nanaimo, five minutes from Parksville we have the best of all worlds. Young riders learn to ride their first pony; older riders can satisfy their dreams as well - with our experienced instructors. If you are not a rider yet and would like to be; you will learn how to care for a horse and ride at your own pace.
TRAIL RIDES - Bring your friends and join us on Magnificent Trails starting on the Ranch and proceeding out over hills to Englishman River (and perhaps 'across' for the more-experienced riders). Everyone can enjoy crossing Craig Creek and climbing the hills at Top Bridge or join us as we ride out along the 'Ridge trail' or maybe even 'Bear-P__p trail'. Rides start in the Ring with a lesson - teaching all riders 'what you need to know' when riding a horse; thereby ensuring a safe, happy ride for all. Call or email for pricing - Join us - You will not be disappointed!!
All Boarders, Leassors and Students have Unlimited use of 100 ft x 230 ft Mountain-View Sand Riding Ring complete with jumps, plus Solid Wood Round Pen, Barn Wash Stall, Heated Tack Room, Cross Ties, Hitching Posts and Boarders Washroom. Trainers welcome to use Ring at no-charge for Boarders horses. Riding Instructors on-site for novice trail riders as well as Jumping Coach on-site. Parking of RV's for longer visits may be arranged.
For those of you who would like to be at a friendly laid-back place and join in lots of trail rides, this is the barn for you. Numerous trails are accessible right from the Ranch. Riders are out every day in the summer; sometimes with groups of up to a dozen riders. We ride at the level of the capability of the people who are riding with us. Riders naturally progress to more difficult rides. River crossings and mountain climbing become second-nature for those who wish to indulge the adventurer in themselves. Others will enjoy travelling through lovely wooded trails where the scenery is constantly changing and the friendships fluorish.
We offer Pasture, Paddock and Box Stall Board depending on your requirements. Self-boarding is becoming a popular option as well; with large fields, water and shelter provided; you do the rest. For those who would like us to do the work, there are a number of large paddocks with shelters for those who would like their horse to have an individual area. There is also 'Pasture horse' herd who travel around on approximately 60 Acres and come in for hay and grain feedings as well as a visual check twice a day in the winter and grain once a day in the summer.
There is something for everyone! Come check us out. You won't regret it.
